Today, May 10, the Maidan Nezalezhnosti metro station in Kyiv will temporarily close for passengers. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Metro, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“The Maidan Nezalezhnosti metro station will temporarily be closed for passengers. The temporary changes are related to the stay of foreign delegations in Kyiv and the holding of solemn and commemorative events at the state level. The restrictions will last from 5:38 to 12:00,” the subway said.

At the same time, the Maidan Nezalezhnosti – Khreshchatyk transfer hub will operate as usual. In the event of an air raid alert, the Maidan Nezalezhnosti station will operate in a sheltered mode.

In addition, on May 10 and 11, Kyiv will partially restrict traffic on some central streets of the city, the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration reported.

“We inform you about the upcoming changes in the organization of traffic and public transport. Traffic restrictions: on May 10 and 11, traffic on Naberezhno-Rybalska Street will be partially restricted. Also, on May 10, there may be temporary traffic restrictions on some central streets of the city in connection with solemn and commemorative events at the state level,” the KCSA said.

Changes in public transportation are also reported:

  • on May 10, the Maidan Nezalezhnosti metro station will temporarily be closed for passengers;
  • on May 10, buses #2, 6, 39, 44, 49, 87, 95, 110 and trolleybuses #34, 37-A will change their routes,
  • on May 11 – bus #31.
