6 metro stations will be closed in Kyiv today: what happened

On the weekend of April 5 and 6, 2025, train traffic between Lesna and Dnipro metro stations in Kyiv will be suspended due to the repair of the Darnytskyi overpass. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“This weekend, the beams of the span structures will be dismantled at the Darnytsia overpass. Therefore, for the safety of passengers, the ground metro stations from Lisova to Dnipra will be closed,” the statement reads.
The traffic of the capital’s subway trains will be duplicated by a specially designated bus route No. 1M. It will run every 10 minutes, but, as the KCSA warns, it will not stop at the Dnipro and Hydropark stations.
The bus will run
- in the direction from the Lisova metro station to Arsenalna – along Brovarskyi Avenue, Dniprovskyi Descent, Heroiv Kruty Alley, then along Ivan Mazepa Street to Arsenalna metro station;
- in the opposite direction – along the same route, except for the section between Darnytsia and Chernihivska metro stations. Transport will move through Andriy Malyshko Street.
The number of trams #8, #27 and buses #118 will also be increased.
Metro trains will run between Akademmistechko and Arsenalna stations according to the weekend schedule.
