Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk and two soldiers were denied service at a hostel in Kyiv because the military were allegedly “dangerous.” Pletenchuk wrote about this on Facebook, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“The military are dangerous,” says a girl at the reception of the Hostel Vshokoladi hostel in Kyiv. “That’s why when I ask them to let me and two respectable officers in uniform have lunch in the establishment, they refuse. A request to give the phone number of the manager is also refused and arrogant. Is this a personal position or the owners’?” the spokesman wrote.
Pletenchuk expressed the opinion that, unfortunately, there is still a part of society that believes that it is possible to stay away from this war.
“The part that does not want to understand that they have to live with us and they will be the ones to adapt to the veterans, not vice versa. Moreover, we did not choose this war. I’m not talking about basic respect. Moreover, we did not choose this war. I’m not talking about basic respect. I always try to keep myself in check, because my PTSD is a light version of what the stormtroopers went through. But the guys, of course, may have a lot of questions like “was it worth defending them,” said the Ukrainian Navy spokesman.
