An artificial intelligence named Flynn has successfully entered the Vienna University of Applied Arts and is studying alongside humans. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to The Washington Post.
The project was implemented by students of the same university, 27-year-old Kiara Christler and 22-year-old Marcin Ratajczyk. They have developed a program that passes entrance exams, attends classes, communicates with teachers, and performs artistic tasks.
The artificial intelligence will be officially enrolled in the fall, but it is already attending lectures. Flynn receives grades for his work and can theoretically earn a diploma.
“AI works on the basis of a combination of different commercial and open source programs – one is responsible for text, another for voice, and another generates images,”
– the developers explain.
University professors speak favorably of the AI student. According to lecturer Melissa Logan, Flynn actively participates in discussions and demonstrates enthusiasm.

“I am almost ready to advise other students to follow his example,” she said,
– she said.
Flynn’s classmates have different reactions: some express concerns about privacy, while others actively communicate with the AI.
“One student is using it as a therapist, while another is trying to make the AI fall in love with her,”
– said teacher Anika Mayer.
According to Mayer, the project achieves the main goal of art: to provoke discussions and make people think about the limits of human interaction with technology.
