Scholz promises to support Ukraine in his New Year’s address

In his New Year’s address, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany “will not leave Ukraine alone” in the fight against Russian aggression. This was reported by Zeit Online, according to Komersant ukrainskyi
In a pre-recorded speech for television, Scholz assured that Germany would not leave Ukraine without help and would continue its support “like no other in Europe.”
He emphasized that many Germans are watching the events in Ukraine with concern.
“I assure you that we will not leave Ukraine alone and will support it like no other in Europe,” Scholz promised.
In addition, the Chancellor emphasized that the German government will continue to act in cold blood to prevent the war from spreading.
On December 16, the German parliament passed a motion of no confidence in the government of Olaf Scholz.
