According to KRAPKA.MEDIA, journalist Vitaly Portnikov commented on the event, emphasizing the reluctance of both sides to disclose details of the negotiations due to their sensitivity.
According to The Washington Post, Trump advised Putin not to escalate military action against Ukraine, hinting at a strong US military presence in Europe. In addition, Trump allegedly called for peace talks, allowing discussion of territorial concessions in favor of Russia under the condition of a ceasefire.
Portnikov pointed out that despite the consultations, Russia continued shelling Ukrainian cities, including launching missiles and drones, which may indicate its unwillingness to change its aggressive strategy.
