President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer. During the conversation, the leaders discussed a number of important issues aimed at increasing pressure on Russia and achieving peace in Ukraine. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Presidential Office.

The President thanked the United Kingdom for the recently adopted sanctions against Russian facilities in the military, energy, and financial sectors. Zelenskyy emphasized that such actions are important for forcing Russia to stop its aggression and return to a diplomatic settlement.

Separately, the head of the Ukrainian state mentioned the decision of the European Union, which approved the 17th package of sanctions against Russia on that day. Zelenskyy noted that European partners are already preparing new steps to further pressure Moscow. He also expressed hope for the support of the United States in this process.

In the course of the conversation, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Kier Starmer discussed opportunities for new international meetings that could become a real step towards a ceasefire and long-term peace.

The President of Ukraine also informed the British Prime Minister about his recent conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump and the joint actions being taken within the so-called Coalition of the Willing – a group of countries that support a peaceful settlement.

The parties agreed to stay in constant contact and coordinate further steps at the international level.
