S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 cooperates with UNITED24, intrigues with Netflix and beckons gamers

GSC Game World, the developer of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, together with the official fundraising platform of Ukraine UNITED24, organized a festive raffle to support the Bring Light Back collection for generators for Ukrainian schools. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
“Together with GSC Game World, the authors of one of the most popular games of the year, we have prepared unique gifts for fans of the game and everyone who loves to do good deeds,” said Mykhailo Fedorov.
He said that those who donate $24 or more for the power generators will receive
– 3 radiation dosimeters;
– 10 sets of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Ultimate Edition, which include game artifacts and other interesting souvenirs.
And for a donation of $10 or more, you can win
– one of 20 game keys;
– one of 20 T-shirts from the limited edition of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

Netflix series – a dream or a reality
We are currently negotiating with Netflix about the game’s adaptation. Maxim Krippa, the owner of GSC Game World, told Forbes Ukraine in a recent interview.
“There is a very good example of CD Projekt Red in Poland, which released The Witcher. It is the national pride of the Poles – there is a book, a game, and a series on Netflix. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has the same perspective, only Ukrainian. I would like us to get the series on Netflix,” said Maksym Krippa.
He said that certain negotiations are underway, but the issue has not yet been resolved.
It is planned to update the cult trilogy S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
GSC Game World, a studio that develops and supports games in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe, announced in an official press release that it plans to update the cult trilogy.
It is now known that the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy will receive native versions for the new generations of PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. Currently, the games work on these platforms through backward compatibility with PS4 and Xbox One.
GSC Game World says that the updates will allow taking advantage of more powerful hardware and improved graphics.
GSC Game World also adds that they are thinking about releasing new patches for PC versions.
Figures proving the popularity of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
A month before the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, more than 400 thousand players added the game to their favorites. In total, the number of players who were online at the same time has already reached more than 121 thousand.
According to the statistical portal Video Game Insight, the game received 83% of positive reviews, gross revenue is currently $137.8 million, 2.9 million copies of the game have been sold, and the average time spent in the game is 19.2 hours.
Another international recognition for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
The Western edition of GamingBolt published the top 20 games with the best graphics for 2024. At the same time, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl almost took the first place in this rating, losing only to Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.
By the way, players and foreign critics recommend playing Stalker 2 with Ukrainian voice acting. According to Western observers, the protagonist of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Scythian, sounds like a “character in a banal action movie” in English, while Ukrainian better conveys the depth of his personality.
