23 May 09:28

Russian occupants attacked a railroad in Chernivtsi region on the night of May 23. The attack damaged the infrastructure. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Ukrzaliznytsia.

As noted, the shelling damaged the railway infrastructure in the Chernivtsi region. There were no casualties among employees or passengers.

Ukrzaliznytsia trains continue to run on their established routes.

“Thanks to the coordinated work of the air defense troops, several enemy targets were destroyed. As a result of the falling debris, a fire broke out at a railway station in one of the districts of Chernivtsi region,” the head of the regional state administration wrote.

He added that the fire was promptly extinguished and there were no casualties.

We would like to add that due to the collapse of the earth’s rock and the subsidence of the track, traffic on the Yasinya-Voronenko section was temporarily blocked.

Ukrzaliznytsia explained that it will take time to fully repair the section, so all trains of the Rakhiv direction will change their final station.
