Russian media outlets reported the alleged downing of a Ukrainian F-16 fighter jet. However, the Air Force denied this information. This was announced by the head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

Earlier, a number of Russian Telegram channels reported that an F-16 fighter jet was allegedly shot down over Sumy region by an S-400 air defense missile system, which allegedly worked in tandem with a Su-35 fighter jet.

Ihnat ridiculed the Russian statement about the alleged downing of the plane, noting that this is not the first attempt by enemy propaganda to “shoot down” a Ukrainian aircraft.

According to him, the Russians continue to spread fakes, claiming that this time they allegedly destroyed the F-16, although the reality is far from their fantasies.

“Russian propaganda outlets have ‘shot down’ our aircraft again, this time an F-16. Today, F-16 pilots have once again successfully worked on the Rashists. And so every day, the combat work continues! I’m proud of our pilots!” Yuriy Ihnat wrote.

“The information about the downing of an F-16 aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over Sumy region is a fake of ru-propaganda,” the Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized.
