On Thursday night, Russian drones attacked power facilities in several regions of Ukraine. Most of the consumers who were cut off from power due to the attack have already been reconnected. This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
“At night, Russian UAVs attacked power facilities in several regions of Ukraine. As a result of the damage, household and industrial consumers lost power. Most of them have now been repaired. Works to repair the damage are ongoing,” the statement said.
Due to the hostilities and other reasons, 585 settlements are without power supply in full or partially this morning.
In particular, there are new power cuts in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovs’k, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions due to the fighting.
One settlement in Sumy region is without power for technical reasons.
It is also noted that as of 9:30 am on Thursday, the level of consumption is 2.9% higher than the previous day. Ukrenergo asks consumers to shift the use of powerful electrical appliances to daytime hours – from 10:00 to 16:00, if possible.
Ukrenergo reminds that the Ukrainian power system continues to recover from nine massive Russian attacks. Emergency and scheduled repairs are underway at power facilities. During peak consumption hours, the power system remains in a power deficit.
