During today’s massive missile attack, Russian occupation forces struck the Kyiv hydroelectric power station in Vyshhorod. The video of the aftermath was posted by Russian propagandists on social media, and the information about the attack was confirmed by the head of the National Security and Defence Council’s Disinformation Counteraction Centre, Andriy Kovalenko, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“There are no threats to the Kyiv HPP dam. It is impossible to destroy it with missiles. We shouldn’t compare it to Kherson region – there was an explosion from the inside. The Russians are using this topic to stir up panic, nothing more,” the official wrote.
To recap, in July, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Ukraine allegedly wanted to blow up dams near Kyiv and Kaniv. The Foreign Ministry denied the allegations. The CPD responded that the enemy is trying to cause panic among Ukrainians with these statements.
