Russia massively attacked Kyiv: debris fell in 5 districts, there are fires

On the night of Saturday, May 24, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and attack UAVs. Air defense is operating in the capital. Debris was recorded falling in a number of city districts. The attack on the city is reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Regarding the consequences of the enemy’s combined attack on the capital, Klitschko outlined the current data. As of now, there are reports of debris falling in five districts of Kyiv.

In particular, the mayor pointed out that the wreckage of Russian drones fell in several districts of the city.

  • in Solomyansky district, an apartment in a residential building was on fire;
  • in Sviatoshynskyi district – a non-residential building;
  • debris also fell in Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the city.
  • Debris was recorded falling on a shopping center in the Obolon district. And also on a residential building in Obolon. Emergency services are on their way.

So far, eight people have been reported injured.

“Two of them were hospitalized from Dniprovskyi district. Six more received medical assistance on the spot – in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital,” the mayor said.

Monitoring channels indicate that Kyiv was attacked by more than 50 UAVs and up to 4 ballistic missiles: the drone attack is coming to an end. In total, about 200 UAVs were launched across Ukraine.
