russia attacks Kharkiv and Odesa: dozens of victims, evacuation of more than a hundred people, repeated explosions

On the evening of 16 January, powerful explosions occurred in Kharkiv, injuring 17 people and damaging 19 buildings.
The number of residential buildings hit by two enemy missiles last night is 19. Seventeen residents were injured, 14 of them are in hospital, one in serious condition. 14 cars were destroyed. All relevant services continue to work at the scene. All those in need are being provided with all the necessary assistance,
– informed Mayor Igor Terekhov.
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the Russians fired two S-300 missiles at the city.

Odesa came under attack by Russian drones. According to the Southern Ukrainian Defence Forces, 11 drones were destroyed on their approach to the coast, most of them fell into the sea. However, some fragments of the downed drones fell on the city and caused damage.
The hostile attack caused a gas pipe, 4 parked cars, balconies on the 3rd and 4th floors and an apartment on the 2nd floor of a 5-storey residential building with a total area of 50 m2 to catch fire. 130 people were evacuated… The facade of the building was partially destroyed over an area of 100 m2. The blast wave damaged 8 cars and destroyed 4 cars. Three people were injured on the spot,

The last explosions in the city occurred in the morning, after six o’clock.
In total, according to the General Staff, on the night of 17 January, Russians attacked Ukraine with two S-300 missiles (Kharkiv) and 20 drones (Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kirovohrad regions), 19 of which were shot down. As of the morning of 17 January, there were no casualties.
