WTA Rankings. Svitolina moved up 3 positions

Ukraine’s first female racket player Elina Svitolina has moved up to 17th place in the world tennis ranking. About it reports with reference to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).

Women’s (WTA) Tennis Association released updated rankings on the results of tournaments held on 19-25 February.

During the week Elina Svitolina moved up three steps and took 17th place. The 29-year-old tennis player has 2332 points to her credit.

Dayana Yastremska and Marta Kostiuk dropped out of the top 30 and are ranked 33rd and 34th respectively, having lost four places each.

Angelina Kalinina dropped three places and Lesia Tsurenko dropped two places.

Ukrainian tennis players in the second hundred ranking improved their position. The most significant progress was shown by Yulia Starodubtseva, who moved up five positions to 130th place. Daria Snigur – 135th place (3) and Katarina Zavatskaya – 181st place (2) improved their positions in the top 200.

Iga Swiontek of Poland remains the leader of the professional women’s ranking, with a serious gap from Aryna Sobolenko of Belarus and American Cori Gauff. Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan and Jessica Pegula (USA) are also in the top five.
