The Verkhovna Rada has dismissed Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to MP Oleksiy Honcharenko on Telegram.
The former minister delivered a report to the Rada.
Kamyshin’s dismissal was supported by 243 MPs.
Honcharenko also said that Kamyshin should be appointed a strategic adviser in the Presidential Office.
“Kamyshin … should be appointed a strategic adviser (yes, some new, previously non-existent position) in the Office of the President,” the MP added.
As you know, Oleksandr Kamyshin has been the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries since March 2023.
As a reminder, the Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilets, and Head of the State Property Fund Vitaliy Koval have all written in with their resignations.
The Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine,Olha Stefanishyna, also resigned. According to Kommersant’s source, the Ukrainian Stefanishyna may head the Ministry of Justice instead of Denys Malyuska, who also handed in his resignation.
The information of Kommersant Ukrainskiy’s sources about the dismissal of the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Rostyslav Shurma has been confirmed. On 3 September, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Rostyslav Shurma from his post.
