The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a bill that will improve the mechanisms for managing and writing off military property.

This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

“321 MPs voted in favor of the bill.

The relevant decision simplifies the write-off of military property that has become unusable during martial law, as well as if it has been destroyed or damaged as a result of hostilities.

What will change?
The explanatory note states that now all military property (except for small arms and real estate) can be written off without approval from senior management or law enforcement/

At the same time, the value of the written-off property per unit or per act should not exceed UAH 1.7 million (100 thousand tax-free minimums).

If the value of military property written off in one act exceeds this amount, such an act must be approved by the commander or other superior to whom the military unit writing off the property is subordinate.

An internal investigation to find out why military property was destroyed or damaged will not be conducted if the damage was caused by enemy actions or during a combat or special mission.
