Today, 5 September 2024, the Verkhovna Rada will reshuffle the Ukrainian government. This was announced by Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of the European Solidarity party, as reported by Komersant ukrainskyi
“All personnel votes will be held today. Vereshchuk, Kuleba and Koval will be dismissed,” the MP said.
He added that 9 new ministers will also be voted for today.
It should be noted that on the evening of 4 September, the Verkhovna Rada received proposals to appoint new candidates to the Cabinet of Ministers at the suggestion of the Servant of the People faction.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received submissions on the proposal of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, which acts as a coalition:
- Olha Stefanishyna as Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine – Minister of Justice of Ukraine.
- Mykola Tochytskyi as Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine,
- Oleksiy Kuleba as Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine;
- Vitaliy Koval as Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine;
- Matviy Bidnyi as Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine;
- Svitlana Hrynchuk as Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine;
- Natalia Kalmykova as Minister of Veterans’ Affairs of Ukraine;
- Herman Smetanin as Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine;
- Mykola Tochytskyi as Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that at a meeting on 4 September, members of the Verkhovna Rada applauded the resignation of Justice Minister Denys Malyuska.
According to the source of Kommersant Ukrayinsky, the dismissed Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna may head the Ministry of Justice instead of Denys Malyuska.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn.
The information of Kommersant Ukrainskiy’s interlocutors about the dismissal of the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Rostyslav Shurma was confirmed. On 3 September, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Rostyslav Shurma from his post.
