The Verkhovna Rada has extended the deadline for the second military medical examination for those with limited fit until June 5. This was announced by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

The draft law on ensuring the rights of servicemen and police officers to social protection No. 12457 was supported by 313 MPs.

“An important decision! Those under 25 years of age are not required to undergo a second military qualification examination,” Honcharenko said.

Citizens of Ukraine aged 25 to 60 who were recognized as partially fit for military service before the entry into force of this Law (except for persons recognized as persons with disabilities in accordance with the established procedure) are obliged to undergo a second PTEC by June 5, 2025. Previously, the deadline was February 04.

Limitedly fit persons are obliged to obtain a referral for the VLC on their own without waiting for a summons. This can be done through the TCC or through the mobile application Reserve .

It should be noted that Law No. 3621, which came into force on May 4, abolished the “limitedly fit” status and established a nine-month period for a second medical examination. All persons liable for military service with this status must pass a commission and receive a new valid status.

The status of “fit for military service” allows a person liable for military service to be appointed to any position in the Armed Forces. In addition, there are statuses that allow for service in support units, recruitment centers, and educational institutions.

There are also categories: “temporarily unfit” (needing treatment or leave), “unfit” with a second examination in 6-12 months, and “unfit” with complete exclusion from the military register.
