Rada limits pensions for traitors and collaborators to no more than the subsistence level

The Verkhovna Rada has passed a law that significantly limits the amount of pensions for people convicted of crimes against Ukraine’s national security.
The bill No. 10355 was supported by 244 MPs, Ukrinform reports , "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
From now on, such persons will be able to receive a pension no higher than the subsistence minimum for disabled persons – UAH 2,361.
The restrictions will apply to people convicted of:
- high treason
- collaborationism,
- aiding and abetting the aggressor state,
- sabotage and espionage,
- encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine,
- violent change of power or state system,
- obstructing the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations.
The law is aimed at fairly limiting social guarantees for those who acted against the state, its sovereignty and security.
