Today, November 15, law enforcement officers detained a military blogger in Vinnytsia who deceived his followers while raising funds for weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, the man embezzled more than 350 thousand UAH from the collection of money for mortars. This was reported by the press service of the National Police, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

The press service of the National Police did not specify the name of the military man suspected of fraud, blogger and volunteer Ihor Lachenkov said that it was 29-year-old Vladislav “The Snake” Hranetsky-Stafiychuk, known as Vlad Sord.

In 2022, he organized a fundraiser for mortars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but never provided reports on their purchase, and later admitted on social media that he had not purchased the military equipment.

“In July 2022, the man wrote on his page that he had the opportunity to purchase five foreign-made mortars worth about UAH 3.5 million. He justified the urgency and importance of the collection by saying that they would help the military in the battles near Izyum,” the National Police press service said.

According to the investigation, the military blogger kept part of the money raised for himself. It is about 357 thousand UAH, which the man disposed of at his own discretion.

The serviceman was detained in Vinnytsia at his place of residence. He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed under martial law that caused significant damage to the victim). He faces a fine or imprisonment for a term of three to five years.

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the soldier has now been served with a request for a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention.

Vlad Sord wrote on the social network X that “the charges have long been contrary to common sense”

“I know that many people are enjoying this photo now, but just keep in mind that your charges have long been contrary to common sense. Everything you did in a difficult time was f**ked up, everything you did for a year afterwards was mudslinging and not trying to figure it out,” he wrote.

According to him, he was not searched at all.

“They handed me a suspicion and I’ll solve it, absolutely worthless charges. The tweeters took pictures and again did not come up to say hello. I wonder if the reaction of the majority here will change when I prove my innocence in court,” he summarized.
