PrivatBank has reduced the cost of international transfers

From 20 February to 20 April 2024, the cost of transfers to foreign cards will be 1% (minimum UAH 25), instead of 2% (minimum UAH 50). This was announced on Telegram by the ” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>bank’s press service, reports
This innovation is an initiative of the bank to support Ukrainians who are abroad because of the war, or those who provide assistance to their relatives and friends outside the country.
Dmytro Musienko, PrivatBank’s Board Member for Retail Banking, explained that the tariff reduction applies to the period from 20 February to 20 April 2024, stressing that the tariffs for international transfers in Privat24 from PrivatBank cards to foreign cards will be halved to 1%.
All customers can make transfers via the Privat24 mobile app or web version by selecting the “Transfer to card” menu. To do this, you need to choose from a template or fill in the details of a foreign card, specify the amount of the transfer and confirm the operation. You can send a foreign transfer only from a PrivatBank currency card in US dollars or euros.
The digital currency card can be opened remotely in Privat24 and can be used to instantly buy currency online via the mobile bank.
It should be noted that in 2023, Ukrainian banks imported a record amount of foreign currency equivalent to USD 9.5 billion since 2014. For comparison, back in 2022, this figure was USD 5.9 billion.
