Weather forecast for April 8: sleet, frost and ice

difficult weather conditions are expected in Ukraine on April 8. According to weather forecasters, the country will experience cool and unstable weather with sleet, frost and ice. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the Ukrainian Weather Service.
General forecast for Ukraine
- Precipitation: at night, there will be light wet snow in the eastern regions, during the day – in the western, northern and most central regions. Precipitation is not expected in the rest of the country.
- Ice: in the western, northern and Vinnytsia regions, ice will form on the roads in some places, which may hamper traffic.
- Wind: northwest, at a speed of 7-12 m/s.
- Temperature: at night frosts within 0-5° C (in the Carpathians up to 6-11° C), during the day from 1-4° C, and in the southern regions – 4-9° C.
Warnings about dangerous phenomena
Forecasters emphasize that from April 8 to April 11, Ukraine will be at the second level of danger (orange) due to frosts of 0-5° in the air. Such weather conditions can have serious consequences:
- Complications for energy, construction and utility companies.
- Disruption of traffic due to ice.
- Damage to early flowering fruit trees and plants, which is especially important for gardeners and farmers.
Citizens are advised to be careful on the roads, avoid sharp maneuvers and take care to protect plants from the cold.
Weather in the Kyiv region and in Kyiv
The forecast also does not promise warmth for the Kyiv region and the capital:
- Precipitation: no significant precipitation at night, light wet snow is possible during the day.
- Ice: slippery conditions on the roads in some places.
- Wind: northwest, 7-12 m / s.
- Temperature: at night in the region of freezing 0-5°, during the day 1-4° warm; in Kyiv at night 0-2° below zero, during the day 1-3° warm.
