Weather forecast for May 20: rains, thunderstorms and gusty winds

Today, May 20, the weather situation in Ukraine will remain unstable – the day will be marked by partly cloudy skies, short-term rains and thunderstorms in a number of regions. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Ukrainian Weather Center.
According to forecasters, it will be cloudy with clearings. In the western and northern regions, there may be some short-term rains, while in the southern, eastern, most central and Sumy regions there will be thunderstorms in the daytime.
The wind will prevail in the northwestern direction, 7-12 m/s. In the south and southeast of Ukraine, gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are possible in some places – drivers and pedestrians should be careful in open areas.
The air temperature at night will fluctuate between 4… 9°C, in the southeastern regions it will be warmer: 8… 13°C. During the day, the temperature will be 12… 17°C, and in the Carpathians it will be cooler – only 5… 10°C.
Weather in Kyiv and the region
In the Kyiv region, as well as in the capital, cloudy weather with clearings is expected. In some areas there will be short-term rains.
The wind will be mostly northwest, 7-12 m/s.
The temperature in the region at night will be 4… 9°C, during the day – 12… 17°C.
In Kyiv, it will be 7… 9°C at night and 15… 17°C during the day.
