President of Ukraine is ready to exchange captured North Korean military for Ukrainians held in Russia

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said yesterday that Ukraine is ready to hand over North Korean soldiers to their leader Kim Jong Un if he can organize an exchange for Ukrainian soldiers held captive in Russia. The President of Ukraine said this in his traditional address and also wrote on the X network, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
“If Kim Jong-un remembers these citizens at all and can organize an exchange for our soldiers held in Russia, we can transfer such soldiers,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said and thanked all Ukrainian units that replenish the exchange fund for Ukraine.
He also expressed confidence that in addition to the first captured soldiers from North Korea, there would undoubtedly be others. According to the Head of State, it is a matter of time before our guys manage to capture more.
“And no one in the world should have any doubts that the Russian army is dependent on military assistance from the DPRK. Putin began three years ago with NATO ultimatums and attempts to rewrite history, and now he cannot do without such military assistance from Pyongyang,” the President of Ukraine stated.

He said that the Security Service of Ukraine continues to work with prisoners from North Korea, and one has already expressed a desire to stay in Ukraine, while the other wants to return to Korea.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, there may be other ways for those soldiers from North Korea who do not want to return. In particular, according to the head of state, those Koreans who wish to bring peace closer by spreading the truth in Korean about this war will be given the opportunity.
As a reminder, on Saturday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian soldiers had captured two North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. He expressed his gratitude to the special forces of the tactical group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and paratroopers who captured the North Korean soldiers. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said that he had instructed the Security Service of Ukraine to provide journalists with access to these prisoners, as the world should know what was happening.
