The American president signed as many as 50 bills on Tuesday, and thanks to Joe Biden, not only the bald eagle, which is becoming the country’s official bird, was “lucky”.
For example, members of Congress who have been found guilty of crimes are now prohibited from receiving their pensions.
Biden also introduced the first federal standard aimed at combating violence and deaths that occur in higher education institutions across the country.
While still in office, the president signed a bill backed by reality TV star Paris Hilton that would hold treatment centers and youth care facilities accountable.
Earlier this month, Biden vetoed legislation to add 66 new judges to understaffed federal courts. In a message to the Senate formally rejecting the bill, Biden noted that it “hastily” created new judgeships without answering key questions about whether new judges are needed and how they will be distributed nationally.
The US President also commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 federal prisoners on death row, replacing them with life without parole, and issued a full and unconditional pardon for his son.
