Major General Mykhailo Drapaty has been appointed commander of the Joint Forces, Brigadier General Oleh Apostol has been appointed commander of the Air Assault Forces, and Major Robert Brovdi (Magyar) has been appointed the new commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Today, together with the President of Ukraine and the military leadership, we have made important personnel decisions to strengthen our forces at the front,” Umerov wrote.
Mykhailo Drapaty has been appointed commander of the Joint Forces.
“After long discussions, we decided that he will focus exclusively on combat issues in order to fully deal with the front. Another person will soon be appointed in the Land Forces who will focus exclusively on the generation of our forces – recruitment, mobilization, training and implementation of new approaches in these processes to ensure quality training of soldiers,” the Defense Minister said.
Oleh Apostol has been appointed Commander of the Air Assault Troops. Ihor Skybyuk has been appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff.
Umerov noted that personnel changes were also made in the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces. Robert Brovdi (Magyar) has been appointed as the new commander of the CSFS. His experience with one of the best brigades should be scaled up to the entire command.
Vadym Sukharevskyi has been appointed Deputy Commander of the East Operational Command with an important task to modernize this command by introducing new approaches and changes.
“All these changes have one goal – to strengthen our guys at the front, to provide them with everything they need to fight effectively,” Rustem Umerov wrote.
