President plans to dismiss NSDC Secretary Lytvynenko – media
11 January 12:08President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to dismiss Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Lytvynenko.
This is reported by NV, citing its own sources, Kommersant Ukrainian reports.
It is noted that recently, the head of state has been expressing dissatisfaction with the work of Lytvynenko, who is considered “not effective enough” for his position. According to the source, the NSDC Secretary is not coping with the tasks assigned to him, which is why the work of the department is criticized. In particular, the remarks relate to the lack of public awareness of the situation at the front.
At the same time, Radio NV’s sources in the National Security and Defense Council deny these accusations. They argue that Lytvynenko is fulfilling his duties, including organizing the work of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff and implementing sanctions.
As a reminder, Oleksandr Lytvynenko was appointed Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council in March 2024 instead of Oleksiy Danilov, who was planned to be appointed Ukraine’s ambassador to Moldova.
Before joining the NSDC, Lytvynenko headed the Foreign Intelligence Service.
