President announces personnel changes in the Armed Forces
10 December 06:21During his evening address, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the upcoming personnel changes in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The President has not yet specified any details on who exactly will be affected by the changes.
During his evening address, Zelenskyy announced that he had held a regular meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff, which discussed the quality of training of the Ukrainian military.
According to him, one of the issues discussed at the Staff was the quality of training of the Ukrainian military. In his opinion, this issue requires tangible changes.
“Personnel changes have taken place. Oleh Apostol and Mykhailo Drapaty will be in charge of this. Today, we started a discussion at our Headquarters,” the President said.
Zelenskyy instructed to prepare a detailed report on this issue for the next meeting and announced new personnel changes, but did not specify who they would concern.
“And (now) we need to audit what things need immediate changes, what needs to be corrected, what needs to be added and who else needs to be replaced. Everything that is necessary can be provided – both at the organizational level and at the level of finance. It is the quality of training that largely determines the effectiveness of our soldiers in combat, and, of course, it is the preservation of the lives of our guys,” the President emphasized.
It should be noted that Mykhailo Drapaty, who successfully organized defense in the Kharkiv sector and thwarted the Russian offensive, has been appointed as the new Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleh Apostol, an experienced commander of the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade, has been appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
Drapatyi also remains in the position of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
