The Verkhovna Rada employees are to receive a 26.2% salary increase. These figures have already been included in the draft state budget for 2025, reports Komersant ukrainskyi reports with reference to the a post on Facebook by MP Nina Yuzhanina.
In her post, the parliamentarian expressed confidence that government employees would hardly feel the increase in the military tax from 1.5% to 5%.
In addition, the following institutions are expected to increase their payroll in 2025:
- The Office of the President – by 11.2%,
- The Cabinet of Ministers – by 19.7%,
- NABU – by 28.2%,
- Prosecutor’s Office – by 25.8%,
- Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office – by 71.2%,
- BES – by 75%,
- National Securities and Stock Market Commission – by 49.6%,
- The Accounting Chamber – by 38.2%,
- NAPC – by 7.4%,
- courts – by 9.3%,
- tax authorities – by 39.3%,
- customs – by 15.4%,
- State Financial Monitoring – by 7.7%,
- The National Security and Defence Council – by 6.3%,
- The Ministry of Finance – by 4.3%.
As a reminder, it has recently become known that teachers and doctors are going to have their taxes raised. The salaries of teachers, doctors and state employees will now be subject to a 5% tax rather than a 1.5% military tax.
At the same time, the government plans to spend UAH 25 billion from the state budget in 2025 on the preparation and implementation of public investment projects. At the same time, these UAH 25 billion are the amount planned to be raised by increasing the military tax on the salaries of all employees for one quarter to 5%.
This is stated in the draft law 11416-d, which the Verkhovna Rada adopted on 17 September in the first reading. At that time, 241 MPs voted in favour. Most of them are MPs from the Servant of the People and the OPFL.
