As of May 2024, 4,113 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) were added to the Ukrainian car fleet. This is reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the Ukravtoprom association.
Compared to May last year, the demand for electric vehicles increased by 68%, but the share of new cars in BEV registrations was 16%, compared to 23% last year.
The bulk of the electric vehicles registered during the month were passenger cars – 4,025 units (647 new and 3,378 used).
Out of 88 commercial electric vehicles, only 5 were new.
The top 5 new electric vehicles of the month were:
- Volkswagen ID.4 – 110 cars;
- Honda M-NV – 72 cars;
- Nissan Ariya – 58;
- BYD Song Plus – 45;
- Zeekr 001 – 32.
The top 5 used electric vehicles registered in Ukraine for the first time are as follows:
- Nissan Leaf – 492 cars;
- Tesla Model 3 – 404 cars;
- Tesla Model Y – 335;
- Volkswagen e-Golf – 212;
- Hyundai Kona – 210 cars.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 20.2 thousand battery-powered vehicles have been registered in Ukraine for the first time, including: 20% new and 80% used.
