More than 800 thousand Ukrainians have started a business online – how to apply through Diia

In Ukraine, more than 800 thousand individual entrepreneurs have already successfully registered through the Diia portal. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to a post on Telegram by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
The process is so simple that in just 2 seconds after signing with an electronic signature, the data already appears in the Unified State Register (USR).
According to Diia, the most active registrations were in the following regions:
- Kyiv
- Dnipropetrovska oblast
- Kharkiv region
- Lviv region
- Kyiv region
Interestingly, women make up the majority of new entrepreneurs (55.25%), while men make up 44.75%. This demonstrates the growing role of women in the development of small businesses in Ukraine.

Businesses can be opened in various areas, from online to offline, and you can start it all from the comfort of your home.
How to register a sole proprietorship in Diia
Log in or register on the Diia portal;
In the list of services, select Starting a business, Automatic registration of a sole proprietorship, Submit an application;
Fill out the online application form and certify the application with an individual’s electronic signature;
The application will be sent to the Unified State Register for online registration of the sole proprietorship without the participation of the registrar;
If you have chosen the taxation system (both general and simplified), the corresponding marks are put in the application for state registration.
The application will be automatically sent to the tax office at the place of registration of the sole proprietorship or at the place of business.
The status of the application can be checked in the Citizen’s Account in the Services section (Ordered services).
You will also receive a notification of the result by e-mail and in the citizen’s account in the “Please note” section.
