More than 600 soldiers wanted to transfer to another unit through the Army
16 November 07:14Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko spoke about the first day of the new function in the Army. This was reported by Deputy Defense Minister for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko during a telethon, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“As of the evening of November 15, the system has registered 610 reports that have been completed, signed and sent,” Chernogorenko said.
The Ministry of Defense considers this a “good, active” pace of appeals from the military, as submitting a report requires a report to be directly formed, documents to be attached, etc.
“We consider this an active pace of appeals from servicemen and hope that this feature will become popular,” noted Chernogorenko.
The Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization also noted that more than 130 thousand citizens have taken advantage of the opportunity to apply for deferments from service in the Reserve.
How the new feature works
To submit a report, you must have the following with you
- a military ID card or an officer’s certificate;
- a letter of recommendation from the unit to which the transfer is planned;
- a conclusion of the military qualification commission (for transfers for health reasons).
It is important to note that at this stage, the commander’s consent is not required. The request is automatically sent to the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where it is reviewed within 72 hours.
The service provides for transparency at all stages. In case of refusal, the Army app indicates the reasons, which are defined by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1291 of 12.11.2024.
For example, a transfer is prohibited if:
- the serviceman has served in the unit for less than six months;
- less than a year has passed since the previous transfer at the initiative of the military.
The day before, the Army app conducted a survey on the problem of transferring to other places of service. The main questions were about current service status, duties, military experience and reasons for wanting to change units. At that time, the Ministry of Defense announced the simplification of this procedure for the Armed Forces.
