The 40°C heat wave is returning to Ukraine, but there is a caveat: temperature highs are expected to start on 18 August. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi reports with reference to the forecast by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko.
The expert published two forecast maps of air temperature. The first one is for 14 August. It shows that Ukraine’s neighbours Poland and Hungary will bear the brunt of the “temperature shock”. The air there will warm up to 36… 38 degrees.
However, on 18 August, the situation will change and it will be Ukrainians who will suffer from the heat. In the south and in the central regions of the country, the thermometer will show 33… 36 degrees.
“As of 18 August, it is clear that Ukraine will not be short of heat. Unless the 38 or 40 degrees fade away, that is, the intense heat will make your head a little bit into your shoulders,” wrote Natalka Didenko.
