Dust storms have hit Ukraine, causing a yellow alert in some regions. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi reports with reference to information from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.

Meanwhile, Ukrainians are posting video footage on social media of the storm and dust storm.
In the Cherkasy region, wind gusts and dust have created a haze on the horizon, making it difficult for pedestrians to walk and drivers to drive.
On the Kyiv – Chernihiv – Novi Yarilovychi highway, visibility is poor due to the dust that the wind blows from the fields. It is impossible for drivers to keep the situation under control, as the dust storm makes it impossible to see oncoming traffic.
Residents of Zaporizhzhia Oblast are also affected by the dust.
“Dust or sandstorm… We have this weather now: a strong wind drives clouds of yellow dust that settles everywhere, gets into all the cracks, and squeaks on your teeth. It is impossible to be outside,” a resident of Pishchane village wrote on Facebook. She attached a photo to her post.
The dust storm was also observed by residents of Irpin, Kyiv region.
“Pay attention to the colour of the clouds, the sky and the sun: everything is yellow. This is not a defect or photo effect, but natural colours. This is another dust storm in our latitudes – strong gusty winds with a predominant easterly direction have not stopped for several days. The weather is dry without precipitation. And according to the forecast, this situation will continue for the next week. And we are not promised any precipitation,” the author of the post captioned the photo.
