The first auction of antique postal weapons by Ukrposhta has taken place. This was announced by its head, Ihor Smelyansky, according to
According to him, 21 participants competed to become the owner of a unique artifact. The final bid reached UAH 36,001, which is seven times more than the starting price!
“An impressive result, and the entire amount will go to the Armed Forces! I think it will be spent on drones to pay for our destroyed vehicle in the Pokrovske direction,” the official emphasized.
We would like to remind you that the first revolver to go on sale was a 7.62 mm Nagan revolver with serial number 11797. It was manufactured by the Tula Imperial Armory in 1915. The starting price was 5000 hryvnias.
Ihor Smelyansky thanked all the partners who made the project possible: Ukroboronprom, Prozorro.Sale and the National Police of Ukraine.

Why it is a “mail-order weapon”
As told by
it was decided to sell 11 of these revolvers at auction. These Nagans have now been demilitarized and designated as models. They have the appropriate expert opinions on their unsuitability for shooting from Ukroboronprom.
How the auctions are organized
Revolvers are sold at electronic auctions in the Prozorro.Sale system. All revolvers will be sold in separate lots, in three rounds. The minimum period of exposure in the system is seven calendar days, and the duration of the auction itself will depend on the number of registered participants.
According to Ihor Smelyansky, head of Ukrposhta, next Friday three more lots of revolvers of a more venerable age than the one already sold will be put up for auction: 1912, 1913 and 1914.
