Ukraine will be represented in six disciplines on the first day of the Paralympic Games, which started in Paris. This was reported by Champion, according to Komersant ukrainskyi
on 29 August, 25 sets of medals in three sports – cycling, swimming and parathlon – will be awarded in Paris. Ukraine has a chance to win a medal in one of the disciplines. Anton Kol will compete in the S1 class (for athletes with severe disabilities) and will try to win a medal in the 100-metre backstroke. Other Ukrainian athletes will take part in the qualifying stages.

The Paralympic Games in Paris will take place from 28 August to 8 September.
Ukraine will be represented at the Paralympic Games by 140 athletes who will compete in 17 sports. The largest number of Ukrainian Paralympians will be represented in swimming (37), and another 28 will compete in athletics.
