OpenAI has introduced a new app called Sora that can automatically create one-minute videos based on text prompts from the user. This is stated on the company’s website, reports

It is noted that the application is currently available for testing by the team and for use by artists, designers and filmmakers to get superficial feedback.

The main feature of Sora is that it is able to create complex scenes with different characters and different types of movement. The software can understand not only textual instructions, but also their physical implementation. In addition, Sora can create videos with multiple frames where the characters and visual style remain consistent.

One example of Sora’s use is a video that was created based on a prompt about a half-duck, half-dragon flying through a beautiful sunset, accompanied by a hamster in adventure gear.

In addition to being able to generate videos from text-only instructions, the model can take an existing still image and create a video from it, animating the image content with precision and attention to detail. The model can also take an existing video and expand it or fill in missing frames.

The boom in the development of artificial intelligence began in November 2022 when OpenAI released its ChatGPT chatbot. On 18 February 2023, this chatbot became available to users in Ukraine, sparking additional interest in the country’s AI capabilities.
