The Pension Fund reminds: the deadline for applying for a subsidy is December 1

New recipients of subsidies must apply by December 1. In this case, they will be able to receive money to compensate for housing and utility costs from October 1. This is reported by Komersant ukrainskyi

According to the current regulations, the subsidy is granted from the month of application until the end of the heating season, which lasts until April 30.
When is the subsidy granted?
According to paragraph 75 of the Regulation on the Procedure for Granting Housing Subsidies, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 21.10.1995 No. 848, the subsidy is granted from the beginning of the heating season, but not earlier than the day the right to receive it arises. Importantly, for those citizens who apply within two months of the start of the heating season, the subsidy may be granted from October 1, the beginning of the season, even if the application was made later.
This means that those who apply for a subsidy in October or November can receive assistance for this period, which is important to offset the cost of paying for housing and utility services in the winter.
Application deadline for new recipients
For citizens who have not previously received a subsidy, there is an important condition: to receive a subsidy from October 1, you must submit an application by December 1 of the current year.
If new recipients apply after this deadline, the subsidy will be granted not from the beginning of the heating season, but from the month of application.
How to apply for a subsidy
There are several ways to apply for a subsidy:
- Through the service centers of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or through authorized officials of the executive body of the village, town or city council of the respective territorial communities.
- By mail to the address of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
- Online – through the Pension Fund’s electronic services web portal, the Pension Fund mobile application or the Diia portal.
Submitting documents through online services greatly simplifies the process and avoids queues, which can be important in the winter, when the demand for subsidies increases.
Thus, in order to receive a subsidy for housing and utility services from October 1, citizens must submit an application by December 1. This will allow them to compensate for utility costs starting from the beginning of the heating season.
