In Los Angeles, the jury of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of the United States announced the winners of the 96th Academy Awards, Kommersant Ukrainian reports
At the main ceremony, the drama “Oppenheimer” was expected to win seven awards, including Best Picture, Best Director (Christopher Nolan), Best Actor (Cillian Murphy) and Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.).
The best animated film was the anime The Boy and the Bird.
“Emma Stone won the Oscar 2024 for Best Actress.
This year’s Oscars were historic for Ukraine. The film 20 Days in Mariupol, directed by Mstislav Chernov, won the Oscar for Best Feature Documentary. This is the first ever Oscar for Ukraine.
