The rating of the world’s most punctual airlines has been published
3 January 13:48Cirium, an aviation analytics company, has ranked the world’s most punctual airlines and airports for 2024, assessing punctuality on arrival or departure with a deviation from the schedule within 15 minutes, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
The aviation analytics firm analyzes more than 25 million data points from more than 600 sources daily to determine whether airlines are on track to meet their scheduled arrival times. A flight is considered punctual if it arrives within 14 minutes and 59 seconds of its scheduled boarding time.
Aeromexico took the top three spots in the global list, with its flights arriving on time 86.7% of the time, followed by Saudi Arabia (86.35%) and Delta Airlines (83.46%).

- Saudi Arabian Airlines: 86,35%
- Delta Air Lines: 83,46%
- LATAM Airlines: 82,89%
- Qatar Airways: 82.83%
- Azul Airlines: 82,42%
- Avianca: 81.80%
- Iberia: 81.58%
- Scandinavian Airlines: 81,4%
- United Airlines: 80,93%
Cirium’s data is also broken down by region and airport or airline size (based on the number of passengers served in a typical year).
Japan’s two largest airlines took the top two positions in terms of efficiency in the Asia-Pacific region: Japan Air Lines (JAL) won gold and All Nippon Airways (ANA) won silver. Singapore Airlines took third place in the region.
In Europe, Madrid-based Iberia took second place, while its low-cost subsidiary Iberia Express took first.
And in North America, Delta took the top spot, followed by United and Alaska.
In Latin America , Colombian airline Copa was named the most punctual airline, winning the award for the second year in a row.
In the Middle East and Africa , Safair (FA) won the award, while Oman Air (WY) took the second step of the podium.
In terms of airport punctuality, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH) was ranked first in the large airport category as well as in the overall standings.
Second and third place in the overall category went to Jorge Chavez Lima International Airport (LIM) in Peru and Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City (MEX).
The Medium Airport award was presented to Tocumen International Airport in Panama (PTY), and the winner in the Small Airport category was Guayaquil Jose Joaquin de Olmedo International Airport in Ecuador (GYE).
