The Human Rights Ombudsman noted an increase in the number of violations by TCC employees, particularly in Kharkiv region, where several cyclists were hit. Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets wrote about this in his telegram channel, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“In 2025, the number of appeals and cases of violations of rights during mobilization activities by TCC employees increased. And the trend continues,” he said.
Lubinets said that in two and a half months, the Ombudsman’s Office has received more than 40 complaints about violations in Kharkiv region. These include the denial of access to lawyers, the use of force, weapons and other special means, rejection of documents and other violations.
“Recently, at least 3 videos have been posted in the media where cyclists are hit by a car and then people in uniform use force and put these cyclists in cars. I would like to emphasize that such actions are unacceptable and require a response,” he added.
Mr. Lubinets assured that each such case is not left without proper attention – he and his representative in Kharkiv region immediately respond to such incidents to ensure that human rights are respected.
