According to the case, the allergist organised illegal activities and sold fake certificates of fitness for military service for health reasons.

The cost of the services was USD 3 thousand per person.

For these funds, the defendant guaranteed the client to influence the officials of the regional MSEC to make the “right” decision – to establish a disability group.

On the basis of such fake documents, the fugitives were able not only to evade military service, but also to travel abroad without hindrance.

The SBU operatives documented the offender’s illegal actions and exposed her “red-handed” after receiving another bribe.

During searches at her workplace, the SBU found

  • draft records and other evidence of illegal activity.

The issue of serving her a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of influence) is being decided.

The National Police clarified that the doctor of a Lviv municipal hospital demanded money from a patient in order to influence the decision of members of the Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) on the issue of granting him the third group of disability.

During the search on 23 October, $3000, which she had managed to receive from the patient, and other funds were found in the doctor’s office: 1,600 euros, $51,500 and 47,000 UAH. In addition, documents, draft records and other material evidence were seized from her.

Law enforcement officers intend to serve the doctor with a notice of suspicion of influence peddling. If proven guilty, she could face three to eight years in prison with confiscation of property.
