Odesa suffered a massive UAV attack: there is damage

On Wednesday night, April 16, Russian occupation forces massively attacked Odesa with attack drones. The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, reported damage and a fire, [Komersant] reports

“The strike caused damage to civilian infrastructure, including a fire in a residential building. Information about the victims is being clarified,” the official said.

According to him, all relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack.

The mayor of the city, Hennadiy Trukhanov, showed footage of the aftermath of the attack.

He noted that the attack damaged civilian infrastructure, residential buildings and warehouses. However, there was no information on casualties.

“Operational services are working on the spot. Once their work is completed, municipal crews will start restoring the area. In the morning, employees of the district administration will start working,” Trukhanov said.

Earlier, the media reported numerous explosions in the city.

As reported, on Tuesday, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte arrived on an unannounced visit to Ukraine and met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Odesa.
