Starting from 1 October, PrivatBank will not include a limit on card transfers for volunteers registered with the bank and customers with confirmed sources of income. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the press service of PrivatBank.
As a reminder, the National Bank of Ukraine has decided to set a temporary six-month limit of UAH 150,000 per month for card-to-card transfers (also known as P2P, C2C) starting 1 October
It is noted that the limit of UAH 150,000 set by the National Bank for transfers between individuals is sufficient for the vast majority of customers using the P2P card transfer service.
The financial institution stressed that almost 99% of PrivatBank’s customers make transfers in amounts not exceeding this limit.
It is reported that from 1 October, PrivatBank will not apply limits on card transfers for volunteer clients registered with the bank and clients with confirmed sources of income.
The bank has also introduced a convenient technological process for managing transfer limits for customers whose transactions are included in the exceptions according to the NBU’s decision.
“The bank will inform customers in advance when they reach 50% of their transfer limit and provide recommendations for managing the limit or using transfers to the recipient’s IBAN account,” the bank said.
It added that PrivatBank customers can increase the limit in Privat24, or contact the support service via online chat on the bank’s website or by calling 3700 or visiting a bank branch.
“We advise volunteers to give preference to cashless payments to ensure efficient use of funds and pay special attention to small volunteer initiatives, even if these clients are not systemic volunteers. For such clients, we have developed and implemented a special product called “Envelopes”, which simplifies the fundraising process and allows for convenient and safe organisation of fundraising,” PrivatBank said.
The National Bank of Ukraine has restricted the use of Ukrainian bank cards abroad.
The restrictions will apply to payments for the following goods and services abroad: watches, jewellery, silverware, precious stones and coins.
The NBU sets a monthly limit of UAH 100 thousand in equivalent for payments abroad made using payment cards opened by Ukrainian banks to foreign currency accounts, for transactions with merchant codes 5094 (precious stones, metals and jewellery), 5944 (watches, jewellery and silverware) and 5972 (coin and stamp shops).
