Beware of fake news: The Red Cross and Rozetka will not be donating kits, this is fraudulent data collection

The Red Cross of Ukraine has denied the information circulating online that the organization, together with Rozetka, will be giving away charity kits and even money for Christmas. Under the guise of such a campaign, in fact, fraudsters are collecting personal information of citizens. This was reported by the Ukrainian Red Cross on its Facebook page, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

The URCS reported that a message is spreading on social networks that they and the Rozetka company are allegedly giving charity kits and money to support the population in the winter. To receive them, you need to submit an application in which you must provide personal data.

“This information is not true – it is fraudsters. The Ukrainian Red Cross does not conduct any campaigns and does not require filling out applications to collect personal data,”

– the organization said.
