A new world record in freediving: Ukrainian woman dives to a depth of 82 meters without fins

Ukrainian swimmer Kateryna Sadurska has set a world record in the constant weight without fins discipline. She surpassed her previous record by two meters. She announced this on her Instagram page, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

At the AIDA Deep Dominica competition, Kateryna broke her own record by diving 82 meters, thus setting a new world record.

Sadurnska’s previous record of 80 meters was set the same year.

“I did it again. This is my sixth world record this year. It’s still hard to believe,” Sadurska wrote.

The athlete emphasized that although the dive looked easy, the path to this result was difficult. She also expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported her along the way.

Kateryna Sadurska is a Ukrainian freediver born on July 19, 1992 in Mykolaiv and currently represents Kharkiv.

In 2022, she became the world champion, specializing in the constant weight without fins (CNF) discipline. Her records include dives to 77 and 80 meters, and recently to 82 meters, which is a new world record.
