Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry has to meet the new geopolitical realities – institutionally and in terms of personnel, in Ukraine and abroad. The new head of the Ministry, Andriy Sybiga, said this on Facebook, announcing personnel changes, [ komersant] reports
“At a recent meeting of ambassadors chaired by the President, a list of priority countries and regions was agreed upon where we will open new diplomatic missions. There will be personnel changes – new ambassadors and consuls general will appear. There will also be changes in the central apparatus aimed at strengthening the system,” the minister said.
According to Sibiga, “the measure for each head of foreign missions will be the result, not self-promotion and publications on social media.”
“Regardless of the political situation in the world, Ukraine will find modalities to ensure its national interest. Accordingly, Ukraine’s foreign policy strategy will be revised. This will be based on the realities of wartime,” the Foreign Minister stressed.
As a reminder, the government has undergone a major “reset”: The Verkhovna Rada appointed nine ministers, and three officials were dismissed.
