New opportunities for veterans: educational platform launched in Ukraine

The Ministry of Education and Science has presented a platform for finding educational opportunities for female and male veterans. This was announced by the Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

“We have presented one of the tools that will allow our defenders who are returning to civilian life to find affordable opportunities to update their knowledge in the areas they were interested in before the service or to acquire new ones through retraining,” Lisovyi said.

The new platform offers more than 1,200 educational opportunities: from short-term courses to full-fledged study programs at vocational, pre-university and higher education institutions.

“This is a catalog of formal and non-formal education programs that contains all the important information: accessibility of educational institutions, admission requirements, forms of education and program funding,” added Lisovyi.

He also emphasized that the platform was launched with the support of partners under the Skills4Recovery program implemented by GIZ and SFPL.
