Nova Poshta, the largest express delivery operator, is launching a large-scale structural restructuring to improve efficiency.
This was announced on Facebook by the company’s co-owner Volodymyr Popereshnyuk, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
“I have decided to audit the processes performed by all non-operational employees who do not handle parcels. I plan to divide these employees into two categories: those who support the company’s operations and those who develop and improve it in order to give advantages and resources to the latter,” he wrote.
Popereshnyuk emphasized that he set himself the task of identifying unnecessary and harmful processes that should be eliminated.
“It is important to remove everything that prevents the company from developing and moving forward. But the effort is worth it, because such reforms should turn a good company into the best one,” the co-owner of Nova Poshta said in a post.
According to him, the company faced the issue of changes due to rapid growth.
“Right now, as the owner of Nova Poshta, I am facing a serious challenge regarding the future of our company. The fact is that we have grown. We have become a huge company with almost 30,000 employees, with a large management and administrative staff,” explains Popereshnyuk.
He emphasized that he was concerned about how to keep the company alive, able to continue generating and implementing wow ideas, and not turn it into a sluggish, bureaucratized corporation “with the shit of corridor wars and the only motivation of management, which is reduced to the slogan ‘not to make a mistake.
A good solution, according to the co-owner of Nova Poshta, would be to create a company efficiency department similar to DOGE, the Department of Government Efficiency, headed by Elon Musk.
“But a commercial company is not a government where you can fire every official and it will only get better. Businesses usually need all employees, and it is very difficult to identify those who can be fired without loss to the company. Moreover, our task is not so much to cut costs as to expand our business, expand to other markets and innovate, and this does not correlate with staff reductions,” said Popereshnyuk.
He emphasized that it is important for the company to maintain the team’s motivation, interest in life and its development.
